Some programmes have a compulsory internship in the same academic year as the exchange. Below you will find more information on what you need to take into account. 3rd Bachelor Public Administration The internship in the bachelor BPM takes place during the second semester. If you are on exchange in the first semester, there are two possibilities. You can look for an internship before you leave and get it approved by the programme committee. Or you can participate from abroad in the selection for internship assignments offered by the programme itself. In this case, you have to 'apply' for three work placement positions from abroad; this is usually done via Skype. There are no indications that Erasmus students are less successful than students at home who apply physically. Whichever of the two routes you choose, you should also participate in the weekly exercises on reporting and communication training in the first semester, but this is perfectly possible via Ufora. The exchange takes place in semester 1. You must therefore prepare your internship during semester 1. We recommend students who go on exchange to look for an internship before they leave on exchange so that you can introduce yourself to the internship company and make appointments in person. During your exchange you can only introduce yourself by phone or Skype, which is more difficult but not impossible. You can of course also look for an internship abroad at the location of your study exchange. After you have found an internship, you still need to finalize the agreement and the risk analysis, but this can be done remotely during your exchange.
